I am so grateful to have had a WONDERFUL workshop funded by the Connelly Foundation this past summer. This was a four day workshop focused on integrating technology into the classroom in exciting and creative new ways. I took a LOT of great ideas from this workshop, one being Google Classroom. Google Classroom is a tool I will be using to create assignments, post questions, and assess how your child is doing across the subject areas. I can scan and post homework pages and assignments so that it's easily accessible for your child.
We will also utilize Google Docs where we can have live chats in one document! Each student can type their response. I can post questions where students respond. It is a platform where they can express their ideas and I can assess their understanding. Communication is vital in the real world and I feel that this is a fabulous step in that direction.
