One week until Catholic Schools Week! Time is flying!!!! Have a great week!
Love,
Mrs. Cacaccio
RELIGION:
This week we will review for Unit 3 and students will take the unit test on Tuesday.
MATH:
We started Chapter 8 (We don't go in chapter order) which deals with fractions! Students are doing well with what we have covered so far. We will continue this week.
ELA:
This week we read a Scholastic News which dealt with RESPECT. Our cover story featured a basketball player, Damian Lillard. He speaks out about bullying and what students can do when they witness bullying. It really is all about respect and kindness without judgement. This is what St. Mary's is all about.
This week we will read an anthology story.
We WILL have a spelling list this week. Next week for Catholic Schools Week, we will not have a list.
WRITING:
This week, students were able to free write a lot. We started figurative language with similes. Students then practiced adding similes to their own writing! Really cool to hear as they shared their works. We will continue with more figurative language this week.
SCIENCE:
Students will take a Lessons 1 and 2 quiz tomorrow. We will then continue on to Lesson 3.
